Word cards for the whole class

Big, clear picture cards on the projector or TV. The class sees a picture, says the word together, and then you reveal it and play the sound. Simple enough for the youngest learners, and a quick warm-up for any lesson.

Sample lesson: 8 animal words in Spanish, 2 teams. Free, no account.

el gato – catel gato

How it goes in class

  1. Pick the language and the words, or start from a whole topic like animals or food.
  2. Open the lesson on the projector. A picture fills the screen.
  3. The class calls out the word. Press → to show the word and hear it read aloud.
  4. Press → again for the next picture. At the end, the whole class reviews every word.

Tips for teachers

  • Ask for a whisper, a robot voice or a lion's roar to keep everyone saying the word.
  • Press S to hear the word again, as often as the class needs.
  • Use it for the first meeting with new words, then play Picture quiz with the same lesson.

Questions teachers ask

Do the children need devices?

No. Only the teacher's computer is needed; the class watches the projector or TV.

Can I use a presenter clicker?

Yes. Clickers send the same keys as the arrow keys, so next and back work right away.

Which words are there?

Hundreds of everyday words with pictures, in topics such as animals, food, colors, body, family and vehicles.
